Marketing & Outreach Internship

The Sustainable Business Network is looking for talented Marketing & Outreach Interns to join our team!  SBN helps local, independent businesses thrive, while they build an economy for people, planet and prosperity for all. The mission of the Sustainable Business Network is to build a just, green, and thriving economy in the Greater Philadelphia region. We accomplish this by educating and growing a broad base of local, independent businesses and educating policy makers and the public.

Position Description: The Marketing & Outreach Intern will assist staff with various marketing and outreach activities, such as member event coordination and staffing; membership recruitment and member services; communications and social media strategy (Facebook, Twitter, etc.); and database and website maintenance.  There are endless opportunities to develop projects and take leadership for the motivated individual.

Qualifications: Interns need to be hard-working, outgoing, dependable and detail-oriented, and must have good editing and writing skills. Excellent administrative skills are a must, along with the ability to multi-task. Graphic design skills are desirable but not required.  Interns should plan to use their personal laptops for work.

Reports to: Membership Director

Internship Dates: Start and end dates are flexible within the general schedule:

Summer, June-August
Fall, September-December
Spring, January-May

SBN welcomes interns for the Summer 2010 season. Interns joining at this time will have an opportunity to participate in the redesign and relaunching of the website.
