Lindsay Gilmour
SBN Board Co-chair Lindsay Gilmour, is a chef, cooking instructor, and owner of Organic Planet Handcrafted Foods, providing specialized personal chef services and culinary education. Born and raised in New Zealand, Lindsay has over 30 years experience in all areas of the food industry and culinary education. For more than 20 years she has served up local, sustainable and health supportive food to clients and students all around the Philadelphia region. Lindsay is a long time local food systems advocate and was formerly manager of the Fair Food Farm to Institution and Farmer Outreach Programs, building successful business relationships between local farmers and food service managers at universities, schools and hospitals in the Philadelphia region. In addition to her work as a chef Lindsay is currently Client Liaison for Common Market, a nonprofit wholesale consolidator, marketer and distributor of food produced in the Philadelphia region. Lindsay also serves as vice president of the Fair Food board of directors, and is a co-founder, board member and former board chair of Green Village Philadelphia, a Sustainable Development Organization, working to develop Philadelphia’s first urban eco-village and green business marketplace.
