Facilities Technician

Job Description
Work with the general manager to assure that all departments have the tools to operate efficiently. Making sure that all equipment is maintained in good working order and be able to take direction and complete projects in a timely manner. This is a full time year round position .The position is in Philadelphia PA.

Specific Responsibilities
● Cleaning, maintaining and organizing Bee shed , The B Lot and other tool areas
● Ensure that all of the equipment is in working order or scheduled for repair
● All paperwork and bills are to be given to the general manager
● Complete and remit maintenance records/ paperwork on all motorized vehicle and power equipment to office
● Replenish fuel in stock and ensure all fuel is stored in properly mixed and marked containers.
● Repairing and maintaining all structures
● Complete weekly task sheet assignments

● Have a working knowledge of plumbing, carpentry and electrical and vehicle maintenance
● The Facilities Technician must have a genuine interest in the environment, sustainable agriculture, and community action
● Must develop a good working relationship with all fellow employees at all locations and with the office of Greensgrow
● Hands-on physical work is a component of working at the farm
● Must have valid driver’s license
● Must be able to perform physical labor
● Knowledge of small engine repair, tool sharpening, motors a plus
● Given the seasonality of the business, this position may require flexible, additional working hours during peak periods The position is in Philadelphia This position will be reviewed annually

This is a full-time position. This position is eligible for commensurate staff benefits, including a farm share, acupuncture, and paid time-off.
