Social Media Intern

Position Title: Social Media Intern
Compensation: $12.00/hr
Days: 3 days a week, Thursdays and Saturdays required, plus special events
Duration: Start in May • 4–6 month commitment
Location: Greensgrow, 2503 E. Firth Street St, Philadelphia PA 19125

Responsibilities:

• assist in achieving marketing goals
• assist in maintaining all social media accounts
• assist in writing social media posts and press releases
• assist in the implementation of promotional campaigns
• maintain media contacts lists
• maintain press archive; physical press clippings archive and converting press clips to digital
format.
• assist in maintaining the website
• document workshops & events with photo and video
• assist with signage
• be able to work in Kensington and West Philadelphia as required

Qualifications:

• Journalism Major
• Good writing skills, organizational skills and attention to detail
• Social media experience including; Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Youtube
• Good photography skills required and videography skills a huge plus
• An interest in food, gardening, social entrepreneurship, urban agriculture, sustainability issues
• Knowledge of WordPress, MS Office, Google Docs, MailChimp, html code
• Knowledge of local and national media outlets a plus
