Beginner's Guide to Sustainable Business

The Sustainable Business Guide is a new guide to connect Philadelphia small businesses to resources that will improve their environmental and social impacts. It is designed to introduce the average small business owner to ways they can save money, serve their community and go green through their business. It was produced through a collaborative effort by the Mayor's Office of Sustainability, Philadelphia Department of Commerce, and the Sustainable Business Network of Greater Philadelphia, and funded by the City of Philadelphia. Hard copies are available through the SBN Office.

eCLIPSE

The City of Philadelphia’s Department of Licenses and Inspections has launched a new system called eClipse.

The system will allow businesses to handle a host of routine business transactions online—from applying for and renewing business licenses, to making online payments, viewing outstanding inspections, and searching for pertinent business information.

This has the potential to dramatically streamline the process for obtaining business licenses and inspections, and to make doing business in Philadelphia easier.
