Best Practice Forum: The Equitable and Democratic Workplace
Best Practice Forums are a series of workshops from SBN that use member case studies to create meaningful opportunities to learn, connect, and build a better business.
Together as the Sustainable Business Network, we are interested in the quality of life for all citizens. During this program, we will look closely at the ways in which ownership structures and governance inform and relate each other.
The panelists will share insights on the ways in which workers are involved in owning and running their businesses, sharing best practices on how to involve workers. Attendees will learn how ownership and voice within the workplace encourage employees to perform better, attracting and retaining responsible and engaged employees.
As a follow-up to our conversation, we are hosting a free Best for PHL Challenge workshop directly after the forum from 11:30AM-1:00PM where attendees are invited to start measuring their impact in this area as well as their larger social, environmental, and economic impact.
At these workshops, like-minded businesses come together to take B Lab’s Quick Impact Assessment, a free, online, and confidential tool to measure the social and environmental impact of their business; set goals for improving that impact; and get connected with resources to help them to do so. Register for a free “add-on” when you register for the Best Practice Forum.
