SBN Roundtable with Brian Abernathy
The Entrepreneurs’ Roundtable is an intentionally intimate monthly members-only issue-based breakfast conversation created to connect local independent businesses, elected officials and other key decision makers in the city, region, and state.
For March’s Roundtable, SBN is excited to welcome special guest Brian Abernathy, the new Managing Director for the City of Philadelphia. Brian was appointed Managing Director by Mayor James F. Kenney on January 15, 2019. Brian previously served as First Deputy Managing Director since January 2016, overseeing the City’s major operating departments and their day-to-day functions and he has had direct oversight of the City’s public safety functions. Abernathy oversaw the City’s preparations for the Democratic National Convention in 2016 and the NFL Draft in 2017. He presently oversees the Philadelphia Resilience Project, Mayor Jim Kenney’s response to the opioid crisis. He also chairs the Shared Public Spaces working group, which looks at homelessness and public behavior
This policy breakfast is a members-only event with limited seating. Coffee and a light breakfast will be served.
