SBN Roundtable with the Pennsylvania Office of Energy
The Entrepreneurs’ Roundtable is an intentionally intimate monthly members-only issue-based breakfast conversation created to connect local independent businesses, elected officials and other key decision makers in the city, region, and state.
For August’s Roundtable, SBN is excited to welcome Denise Brinley and Adam Walters from the Governor’s Office of Energy.
Denise Brinley serves as the Executive Director of Governor Wolf’s Office of Energy, a newly formed office in Pennsylvania. Ms. Brinley will coordinate energy-related matters among state agencies and serve as the first point of contact for federal agencies, businesses, nonprofits, and other organizations in the energy sector. In this role, she will convene and guide the Commonwealth Energy Collaborative – a multi-disciplinary, agency-focused effort to align numerous energy efforts and develop long term energy strategies for Pennsylvania. Prior to this role, Ms. Brinley was a Senior Energy Advisor at DCED— focusing on Pennsylvania’s energy advantages by working with economic and workforce development partners to retain and grow our energy industry and by marketing and attracting potential investors to the commonwealth. Her work involved expanding the use and delivery of natural gas to residential, commercial, and industrial facilities.
Adam is Senior Energy Advisor serving in Governor Wolf’s Office of Energy where he is committed to developing an integrated approach to energy matters across commonwealth agencies. He works with public, nongovernmental, and the private sectors to assist in planning, implementing, and promoting energy-related projects and initiatives. Previously, Adam was a William Penn Fellow with the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development where he supported the agency’s goals of developing business investment and recruitment strategies for the commonwealth in the energy sector. Adam earned his Master of Public Administration from Penn State University and holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations.
SBN’s Entrepreneurs’ Roundtables are members-only. Refreshments and a light breakfast will be provided.
