HomeGSI (Green Stormwater Infrastructure) Partners: April Update

Join us at our two upcoming events: Quarterly Meeting and Excellence in GSI Awards Ceremony.

GSI Quarterly Meeting

Join us on Wednesday, April 26 at Temple University Center City for the April GSI Quarterly Meeting. We will host the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection’s Domenic Rocco, P.E.. Mr. Rocco will discuss the stormwater-related regulations in the PA counties immediately surrounding Philadelphia (Bucks, Montgomery, Chester, and Delaware) and the degree to which those regulations encourage the use of vegetated practices, and what, if any, changes can be anticipated.

This informative presentation will be beneficial to those in the GSI industry and approachable to those with a general interest in learning more about our region’s environmental health. Mr. Rocco has over 20 years experience in stormwater management and has served as an adjunct Professor at Temple University since 2010.

This meeting will be a great opportunity to have engaging conversations with your peers before the real busy season is upon us! We will also share a summary of what we’ve been up to since our last meeting.

There are only two weeks left until the next Quarterly Meeting, register now to reserve your seat.

Free to GSI Partners; $25 to non-GSI Partners.
Breakfast and coffee provided.

Excellence in GSI Awards Ceremony

Tickets are on sale now for the 2017 Excellence in GSI Awards Ceremony, which will take place on Thursday, May 11 at FringeArts. This is the region’s only awards ceremony that celebrates and elevates green stormwater infrastructure projects, the triple bottom line (TBL) benefits of GSI, and the many public and private partners who make these projects successful.

The evening will begin with a poster reception, where guests can view project posters of the finalists; mingle with the region’s industry professionals, developers and property owners, government and non-profit institutions, and academics; and enjoy seasonal fare and drinks from La Peg. During the Ceremony, we’ll hear from our keynote speaker, Michael DiBeradinis, Managing Director for the City Philadelphia, and present an award to the winners of each category. We’ll conclude the evening with more food and libations!

We’ve been recognizing our project finalists and winners, including Public Project finalists, Private Project finalists and the Early Adopter winner. Stay tuned as we continue to share more information on winners, our keynote speaker, and more.
