HomeMayor Michael Nutter recognized by ASLA with the Olmstead Medal

At the Annual Meeting of the American Society of Landscape Architects in New Orleans, the Honorable Michael Nutter was bestowed the Olmstead Medal. The Olmstead Medal recognizes “individuals, organizations, agencies or programs outside the profession of landscape architecture for their environmental leadership, vision and stewardship”. Mayor Nutter was recognized for championing several initiatives during his term of service such as Green City, Clean Waters, Greenworks, Green2015 and Philadelphia 2035. Philadelphia continues to recognized for its good work with balancing the natural and built environments.
