Ecological Landscape Associate

Land Stewards, an ecologically-based landscape firm, is seeking to expand its team of horticulturists, naturalists, and plantsmen with energetic, enthusiastic and   inquisitive individuals with an interest in environmental stewardship.

Using an exclusively native plant palette and indigenous material, our work is respectful to and reflective of place and aims to serve as habitat, stormwater mitigation, and food and nectar resources.  We’re seeking individuals that are interested in contributing to these goals through mindful, hard work that requires a curiosity of natural systems, the desire to observe and learn, and the willingness to work in a physically demanding capacity.

Other qualifications include:

–  an understanding of native plant communities and ability to ID native plants

–  experience operating skid steer, backhoe, mini excavator and stake body dump

–  proficient in landscape vernacular and professional practices

–  experience with hardscaping preferred but not necessary

Preferred applicants will hold a B.S. in Environmental Science, Sustainable Design, Horticulture, Landscape Architecture or related field of study.
