Community Engagement Coordinator

Looking for a fun and flexible job where you get to be the face of volunteer culture at a rapidly growing nonprofit? Your search is over! Sharing Excess is seeking community leaders who will host weekly food distributions and recruit volunteers. This is a full-time role, with the expectation that 20 hours of the week will be spent running pop-up distributions and 20 hours will be spent working remotely with our Distribution and Operations teams to manage volunteers. • Arriving at our distribution sites in a timely manner to organize and set up tables and tents.
  • Working with volunteers to unload the product.
  • Guiding volunteer groups through their shift of distributing food.

The remainder of the role will involve managing recruitment and retention of volunteers, and interfacing regularly with volunteer groups to organize events in the community. We are looking for passionate individuals with a strong interest in community service and working in the nonprofit sector.
