Solar Warehouse Manager

Job Description
Solar States is seeking a Solar Warehouse Manager to serve as a central point for inventory management, installation crew management, equipment procurement, tending to warehouse stock and communicating with distributors, office staff, installers, & management.

Position Responsibilities:
Manage inventory and work with distributors to procure materials
Stage material for multiple projects per day
Stock vehicles as needed on a daily basis
Receive and check all incoming orders for accuracy
Complete data entry and administrative tasks
Accurately prepare documents for installation crew
Occasionally transport materials and equipment to job sites
Occasionally order daily material from supply houses
Maintain a clean and safe warehouse while optimizing space
Assist in creating and maintaining a warehouse organization layout and system

Essential Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Forklift operator; Solar States can assist with certification
Must possess a valid Driver’s License
Must possess a smartphone
Comfortably able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in varying temperatures
Must be highly organized & able to multi-task and set priorities
Effective coordination & communication with Warehouse, Operations, & Install staff
Ability to succeed in a fast paced, ever changing environment
Ability to work independently and cooperatively
Self-motivated, and team & customer oriented
Must be able to follow Company safety rules and all other Company policies

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Entry-level or PV Installation Professional NABCEP certification
  • Or Entry -level Construction or Electrical Experience
  • Proficient with computers, comfortable with business messaging apps
  • Understanding of solar PV and/or electrical equipment and installation standards
  • Warehouse or construction background

Description:
In the Warehouse Manager role, you will work in the warehouse to organize, maintain, plan, and effectively communicate warehouse needs to office personnel. You will be responsible to help coordinate crews each morning with job packets, job materials, and advice, as well as the occasional material drop off or day of equipment ordering. The job will require knowledge of solar and electrical job materials. This position also includes minor electrical work and working from heights and enclosed spaces, so you should be comfortable in all scenarios. The Warehouse Manager will also assist in getting rafter measurements for homes needing structural certifications. They will also be required to do the occasional troubleshooting, and maintenance job for solar customers. They will be the liaison between installation team needs and office personnel to ensure we are stocked with the appropriate equipment and materials.

Pay Range: Starting at $20, upwards based on experience
