Government Relations Intern

Term: Part time, approx.12 hours weekly (March-May)
Compensation: Unpaid, credit available for graduate or undergraduate students

The Sustainable Business Network of Greater Philadelphia (SBN) is seeking an intern to support its Government Relations Team to assist with the development of an organizational position paper. The position paper will be a critical tool for SBN’s proactive and responsive advocacy efforts. The goal is to outline where SBN stands on issues that impact our mission, and why the selected issues impact a thriving, socially equitable, and environmentally resilient local economy. The duties of the position will focus primarily on research and writing.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Under the direction of the Manager, Government Relations and in collaboration with other staff, the Government Relations Intern will be responsible for the following, and other related duties as needed:
• Conducting in-depth research on issues related to SBN’s mission
•Assisting with writing and editing
• Helping with member engagement, including surveys and one-on-one conversations
