The Sustainable Business Network of Greater Philadelphia (SBN) offers year-round programming designed to educate, inspire, and connect values-driven businesses.
Our events bring together entrepreneurs, innovators, and community leaders to share best practices, strengthen connections, and advance a just, green, and thriving local economy.
Experience sustainable business in action.
SBN’s Member Open Houses invite you inside member businesses from across sectors, opening the doors of companies of all sizes and industries throughout Greater Philadelphia. These events highlight how sustainability shows up in real-world business practices while giving members the chance to connect, network, and unwind together. Part learning opportunity, part happy hour, Member Open Houses offer a relaxed, welcoming space to build relationships and strengthen our community.
Giving local businesses a direct voice in policy.
These small-group sessions connect local business owners with elected officials and policymakers to discuss the needs and opportunities of independent businesses. Policy Roundtables ensure that sustainability, equity, and local growth are at the forefront of city and regional decision-making.
Practical tools for responsible growth.
SBN’s Business for Impact Workshop series brings together experts from across industries to cover a wide range of topics, from core business operations to sustainability-focused strategies. Workshops explore topics such as human resources, employment law, bookkeeping, tax credits, and sustainability strategy.
These sessions provide business owners with practical knowledge and tools to integrate sustainability into their operations while improving performance and resilience.
Celebrating progress and planning for the future.
SBN’s Annual Members’ Meeting is our flagship event—an evening of reflection, recognition, and collaboration. Members celebrate the accomplishments of the past year, learn about upcoming priorities, and welcome new members of the Board of Directors.
It’s a celebration of purpose and progress within our local impact economy.
Toast to another year of impact.
Our annual Holiday Party brings together SBN’s vibrant community to celebrate the year’s successes and strengthen relationships across industries. This festive and fun-filled evening is a chance to connect, collaborate, enjoy great food and drinks, and look ahead to a brighter, more sustainable future.
Advancing innovation through green infrastructure.
Hosted by SBN’s Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI) Partners program, these meetings bring together professionals in landscape architecture, construction, maintenance, engineering, and other GSi industries to explore innovation and policy developments in nature-based stormwater management.
They also provide valuable networking opportunities for businesses committed to environmental stewardship.
In addition to our core offerings, SBN hosts workshops, webinars, networking events, and collaborations throughout the year.
These programs highlight emerging topics, from circular economy practices and local procurement to energy transition and workforce equity. Each event offers a platform for businesses to learn from one another, forge partnerships, and expand their positive impact across the region.
