Eliza is passionate about learning and identifying new ways to create sustainable, equitable communities.
A new Philadelphia resident, Eliza joins SBN after spending the last two years at the American Sustainable Business Council in Washington, D.C. As a Policy Manager at ASBC, Eliza advocated on behalf of sustainable businesses at the federal and state level on issues ranging from carbon pricing to healthcare reform. Her work at ASBC culminated in the publishing of The Power of Sustainable Purchasing, a report detailing the impact our purchasing decisions can have on mitigating climate change, creating more equitable communities, and growing our economy.
In addition to her government affairs work, Eliza spent two election cycles as a Project Manager for Petel & Co., a political direct mail firm, where she oversaw production and wrote mail pieces for clients ranging from state legislative to gubernatorial candidates. She also spent two years doing operations work for Benenson Strategy Group, a leading strategic research and consulting firm.
Eliza has a B.A. in Political Science and History from the University of Vermont. She lives in West Philly with her husband, James, and English bulldog, Regina George.
