After moving to Philadelphia in 2010 to complete her undergraduate degree at The University of the Arts, Jonecia has dedicated and gained close to 10 years of experience working in the arts and culture sector.
She began her career working in Public Programs and Community Outreach at prominent cultural organizations such as The Barnes Foundation and The Mann Center for the Performing Arts. During this time, she created a strong network of community and cultural leaders.
She recently received a Master of Science in Arts Administration degree from Drexel University, where she focused on fundraising and advanced fund development. During her time at Drexel, as the Graduate Assistant in the Leonard Pearlstein Gallery, she curated programs, managed events and assisted in the grant research and grant writing process for exhibition funding. She also organized, managed and re-branded the Arts Administration programs annual fundraiser event.
