Theresa Gassert joins SBN as a public affairs professional with nearly a decade of experience in policy advocacy, community relations, program development, and strategic communications. In her most recent role as the Director of Public Affairs for Planned Parenthood Keystone, Theresa worked to expand access to sexual and reproductive health care and education across Pennsylvania through policy and grassroots community engagement efforts. She is passionate about working toward people-centered policy solutions that provide dignity, safety, and equity to our communities.
Theresa is currently a Master of Public Administration student at the University of Pennsylvania’s Fels Institute of Government where she is the acting Vice President of Women of Fels, a student organization that advocates for and brings visibility to women in public and nonprofit sectors. In addition to her work with SBN, Theresa is a graduate Fellow with ImpactED, a training and evaluation center for social impact organizations based within the University of Pennsylvania’s College of Liberal and Professional Studies.
Theresa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Political Science from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania.
